How it works

PawsMosaic is a collaborative digital mosaic: the goal is an online artwork of 1,000,000 tiles, each showing a pet or companion animal. Every photo becomes a unique, zoomable tile that stays shareable forever.

You can start by uploading the photo right away (even as a guest): next you create an account or sign in, so the photo enters moderation and can occupy a tile. The first 2.000 occupied cells are free of charge; each account may add up to 5 free photos in this phase.

When the mosaic is complete (or at milestones announced on the site), you may optionally request — with no obligation — a paper print of the digital artwork, including a framed option.

Ordinary upload is for animal photos only — no ads or brand placements there. Logos, banners and ad creatives go through company insertions after the first 2.000 occupied cells, and stay subject to moderation. Mosaic placement is assigned automatically by size. Business contact: Business ads.

2×2 and 3×3 spaces (four or nine contiguous cells) depend on grid availability and can sell out without notice. If no free square of that size remains, purchase and requests for that format are blocked. 1×1 remains purchasable while at least one cell is free; when the mosaic is full (1,000,000 occupied cells) every new publication and purchase is blocked.
